We provide social opportunities for children with ASD to build meaningful relationships with other peers.
Developing social skills in children prepares them for a lifetime of meaningful interactions in all aspects of life. With proper support, customised quality interventions, and a nurturing environment, children can develop essential social skills that enhance their ability to connect with others and foster meaningful relationships.
Children diagnosed with ASD may encounter the following difficulties:
- Deficits in reading non-verbal communication cues
- Unable to start or keep conversations going
- Inappropriate facial expressions and body language
- Limited or unusual pretend play
- Lack of awareness of others’ feelings and empathy
- Challenges working with others
- Challenges with problem solving
Autism Partnership runs various social skills groups for children with ASD, which is aiming to develop their confidence and interest towards other peers. A fun and exciting structure of activities are individually created to meet each student’s needs and objectives.
The Social Group Program is for children who:
- Lack the skill set for cultivating meaningful friendships
- Display minimal behavioral challenges
- Able to comprehend abstract language concepts and have adequate expressive language skills
- Have good learning and attending behavior in a group setting
- Independent with their self-help skills
**For children who may not have all the pre-requisite skills, 1:1 intervention would be recommended to help them acquire the required / necessary skills to participate in the group program.
Our Rockafellas Social Group Program will work on the following skills:
Our Rockafellas Social Group Program utilizes our distinctive Social Skills Taxonomy, developed through our Autism Partnership Method (APM). This taxonomy breaks down social skills into several parts including social awareness, social relatedness, social communication, social interaction, and social learning.
These components are essential for the success of children with autism in group settings, fostering relationship-building, peer engagement, and the ability to navigate social complexities. The program focuses on the crucial aspects of the Social Skills Taxonomy, aiming to provide children with autism the skills necessary to navigate social situations more effectively.

The Rockafellas Club Story
When we introduced this social group program at AP Singapore, we invited the children in the group to unleash their creativity and choose a name that would resonate with their dynamic spirit. The result? The resounding choice of ‘Rockafellas’.
The Rockafellas Club is designed to guide our young participants through their social journey. Through a carefully curated blend of engaging activities, purposeful games, and meaningful interactions, we’ve created an environment where children with autism can learn vital social skills under the overarching theme of ‘being a good friend.’
Within this nurturing space, we fostered an environment where friendships blossomed, confidence soared, and a sense of belonging thrived.
